Dear Madam, Dear Sir
I will finish my studies in April 2018 in
Ecole Centrale de Lyon. I would like to work in a foreign country. Therefore I am looking for a internship for 6 or 12 months. I have already conducted several projects related to my studies.In my final Year Internship, I worked on the design of the temperature control with Arduino for a cavitation test rig to study efficient coating on wind turbine to protect them from rain erosion.
During my fourth year, I took part to a project with EPSA
Team, in which 27 students of École Centrale de Lyon, including me, designed
and pieced together all the systems of a race car (90 CV, 480 lbs (220 kg)). The race car
consists of home-made systems as the exhaust and the cooling system and bought
components off-the-shelf as the motor (Honda CBR 600 RR) the differential and
the wheels. The Design of most home-made pieces is made with Catia or Ansys
(for the frame). The issues of packaging (exhaust system) and issues of
specifications (cover, frame) are solved with these softwares.
I was in charge of the exhaust system: design,
specifications, finding subcontractors for assembling, scheduling the delivery
and took part in the race in Italy last July.
This project allows students to develop or
improve their skills in management, management of crises, work in group, skill
in Catia, management of time, accounting for design’s choices and the V-model.
The dynamic tests and then the competition on circuit this summer helped us to
valid or invalid our design choices.
This was a great experience in which I had seen
a whole project from the beginning to its achievement. We encountered many
aspects of a project and various problems that we managed to solve together, no
matter the time it took.
At École Centrale de Lyon, Aerodynamics and
propulsion systems are very important within the laboratories and the courses.
I took part of the courses about many applications of aeronautics (propulsion,
rotors, dynamics, and numeric models for blades, vibration and acoustics) and
mechanics (transmission, suspension)
Design in Automobile is very attractive and the
competition a strong source of motivation. During this project I found design
and management very fascinating. Therefore I would strongly spend my last
internship period in Aeronautics on mechanical design.
Strengthened by 150 years of experience, the
mission of École Centrale de Lyon is to educate its students to become
generalist engineers and multi-disciplined post-graduate people. With 6
research units located on campus, all of which are part of the CNRS, or the
French National Centre for Scientific Research, the School intrinsically
combines Academic Education and Research. It disposes of lot of test-beds for
aerodynamics and aeroacoustics phenomena.
Our course in École Centrale de LYON helps us to develop our observatory skills as well
as to study the theoretical phenomenon through computer modeling of various.
